The Disneyland Resort’s Halloween Party, Oogie Boogie Bash has been cancelled for 2020 at Disney’s California Adventure.
Only a year after its debut, Oogie Boogie Bash has been put on hold. The changes come due to Disneyland’s continued closure of its theme parks due to COVID-19. Since setting up this party takes months of preparation, Disneyland chose to postpone. Walt Disney World previously cancelled its 2020 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
Oogie Boogie Bash is a new annual Halloween party. Its nightly events sold out last year and received plenty of praise from fans. Additionally, its a time when guests can dress in costume and attend the theme parks (something usually just reserved for children).
UPDATE (7/26/20): Disneyland confirmed Oogie Boogie’s cancellation on its website. “We have made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party.”

For years, Disneyland hosted its Mickey’s Halloween Party event at the Disneyland theme park. However, as popularity grew and Galaxy’s Edge debuted, the party moved to Disney California Adventure. Luckily, Disneyland knows how to throw an impressive party, and Oogie Boogie Bash was no exception. With plenty of villains to greet, treat trails, and special surprises, the limited-run event was spectacular. We hope that Oogie Boogie Bash returns for 2021!
