Muppet Vision 3D will soon close for refurbishment at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
It appears that Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzy, Gonzo, and the rest of the gang are taking a long break from their busy daily schedules. Walt Disney World is closing the Muppet*Vision 3D for a seasonal refurbishment.
From January 26 – February 8, 2020, Muppet*Vision will be off of the schedule at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Guests with FastPass+ for this attraction will likely get an updated selection.
January and February generally have low crowds, so theme parks take this time to refurbish their attractions. Refurbishments allow for much-needed updates and tweaks. At other times, scenes and special effects could be added during a refurb. However, Disney has not stated that Muppet*Vision will be “plussed” in this way.
Muppet*Vision 3D was creator Jim Henson’s final project before he passed away. Unfortunately, he didn’t live long enough to see the film. With that said, we’re incredibly grateful that Disney has kept Muppet*Vision alive for all of these years. If you haven’t seen this hilarious 3D attraction before, we highly recommend it!
