Police arrested a man after he was caught breaking into Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure. According to ABC 7, the incident occurred around 11PM on Sunday, April 19, 2020.
The 18-year-old man was found near the Avengers Campus construction site that night. According to police, the trespasser’s motive was likely to “to steal items or equipment from the construction site.”

The suspect is a known transient from Anaheim, California, where the Disneyland Resort is located. The arrest occurred near the Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Breakout! ride where much of the construction for Avengers Campus begins. After the arrest, the man received a citation and a release from custody.
Disneyland and its sister park, Disney California Adventure closed for over a month ago due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, security and other essential Cast Members still work onsite to keep the park in working shape.
To keep in compliance with social distancing, construction for the Marvel-themed land, Avengers Campus, has been delayed. Disney has not released a new date for its opening or the projected debut of Avengers Campus.
For the time being, the Disneyland Resort does not have an official reopen date for its theme parks.
