Loews Portofino Bay Hotel is reopening at the Universal Orlando Resort with new renovated rooms!
Universal Orlando’s most beautiful hotel has to be Loews Portofino Bay. Though the hotel has been closed since the parks reopened in June, we’re happy to announce that it will soon accommodate guests again. Starting December 1st, 2020, guests can stay at this large Italian-style hotel.
Even better, Loews has newly renovated rooms for guests. These will include beautiful custom furniture and a fresh color palette. We loved the rooms before, but this looks like a significant upgrade! Booking is available now via Universal Orlando’s website.
The upgrades appear in the standard rooms which range from 450 sq ft to 490 sq ft. Guests can also choose between 2-queen or 1 king bed. Views from these rooms are typically garden view, pool, or of the water way.
Though Portofino Bay can feel a bit spread out, it does come with some great accommodations. Our favorite is the included Express Pass for each night of your visit!

We didn’t think that Portofino Bay would reopen this year. However, Universal’s theme park demand has seemed to increase, including sold out weekends. At the moment, Universal is running at reduced capacity and we expect the Resort hotels to do the same.
