Disney’s live-action motion picture, Mulan will surpisingly come to the Disney+ streaming services beginning September 4, 2020!
After several delays with due to the impact of COVID-19, Disney is making some big changes. Its highly anticipated live-action film, Mulan, is set to debut on the Disney’s streaming service. However, Disney+ is adding Mulan for an additional rental cost of $29.99. After some weeks, the film will be available widely for streaming.
This isn’t the first time that Disney has pushed for a film to streaming. Its fantasy adventure, Artemis Fowl released earlier this year. However with Mulan, the company has struck a deal with movie theaters to keep revenue going to both cinemas and streaming services.

As of August 3, 2020, Disney+ now has 60.5 million subscribers. Combined with Hulu and other Disney-owned streaming services, the company boasts over 100 million total subscribers.
With a hope that moviegoers will return to theaters by 2021, time will only tell how many movies will have both a streaming and theater debut. Either way, we are excited to finally see this highly promised film!
