Explorers, get on your Santa hats because this cruise just became whole lot merrier! Jingle Cruise returns to the Magic Kingdom this year beginning today, November 2nd, 2019! Filled with holiday jokes and plenty of decorations, this version is popular amongst guests wishing for some extra Christmas cheer.
In the past, Disney has given much more fanfare for the Jingle Cruise overlay. However, in recent years, the holiday version quietly sneaks into the parks. Since 2017, Disneyland’s version of the attraction has closed and never reopened.
Jingle Cruise began in 2013 at Disneyland and the Magic Kingdom. Though originally very popular, the attraction has mysterious lost its buzz. Perhaps guests prefer the original script over the Christmastime version. Personally, we love this take on the ride and would like to see it each year, perhaps with some added jokes. But we also understand that many of the skippers put their personal spins on the classic script, and having them change for two months might throw off their flow. But that’s just a guess.
Rumors have swirled for some time that a reimagining of the Jungle Cruise is on its way. The retold version would have characters from the upcoming film starring Emily Blunt and Dwayne Johnson.
