Has the Disneyland Resort already increased theme park capacity now that Orange County is moving to yellow tier?
When the Disneyland Resort theme parks first reopened, they were allowed up to 25% capacity at each park. While it was widely speculated that the parks opened at a bit lower capacity, it seems that they’ve since moved much closer to 25%. Disneyland also confirmed this number during a recent interview.
However, Orange County reaches the coveted “yellow tier” in California’s Covid-19 tracking system on Wednesday, May 19th. Yellow is the highest of the tiers and allows for the fewest restrictions. Because of this, Disneyland can now move to 35% capacity at its parks. So when will Disneyland make this move?
Surprisingly, Disneyland rolled out new theme park reservations for nearly every calendar date. Many of these have since quickly booked up by eager guests. However, we’re doubtful that the entire extra 10% was released at once. Instead, Disneyland may have pushed out a certain number of tickets per day for guests to grab.
