Disney World’s Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain roller coaster will close for an extended refurbishment in 2022.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s signature roller coaster, Expedition Everest, is closing for the first quarter of 2022. The popular thrill ride has been down this long in years. Disney only stated that the ride is closing for refurbishment.
On the current schedule, Expedition Everest closes from January 4, 2022 through mid-April 2022. However , it doesn’t appear that Disney will fix the non-moving yeti on the attraction. This is likely just an extended closure to improve performance before the expectedly crowded summer 2022.
