Does the VelociCoaster Use Universal Express Pass?

Can you use Universal Express Pass to access the new Jurassic World VelociCoaster at Islands of Adventure?

The Jurassic World: VelociCoaster officially opened today! Guests eagerly began lining up to experience it early this morning. Wait times have averaged around 100 minutes, which is pretty good for an opening day attraction. Time will tell if waits spike even higher throughout the summer.

Many visitors to the Universal Orlando Resort purchase the Express Pass to skip the lines. These ticket add-ons usually cost over $100 per person, and are great for skipping the majority of the long lines. However, Express Pass does not work for select attractions including Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure.

So does Universal Express Pass work with the VelociCoaster? Sadly, no, Express Pass cannot be used with the VelociCoaster at this time. Typically, Universal Orlando will not roll out this feature for newer attractions. Overall, it helps cut down the wait time when Express Pass is not used.
