The Walt Disney World’s newest Disney Vacation Club property, Reflections A Lakeside Lodge is likely cancelled.
After theme park closures last year, many Walt Disney World Resort delayed many of its announced projects. For example, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, which was supposed to debut last summer, isn’t opening until October 1st of this year. Additionally, the Tron and Guardians of the Galaxy coasters face delays. However, the Mary Poppins attraction planned for Epcot totally got the chop.
It also appears that the previously announced Reflections A Lakeside Lodge went on the chopping block. Reflections laid out to be Disney Vacation Club property very close to the Magic Kingdom. The project planned for 900 rooms, a The Princess and the Frog dining experience, and plenty of Disney woodland animals for animated films.
Disney has not openly said that this project received the axe. However, Disney filed permits and removed the last of the construction offices for the project. As you can see above, the property is now mostly empty.

With that said, we do not expect Disney to allow this land to go to waste. Instead, we could see this hotel getting a reimagining or possibly a repurposing for this area. We plan to keep posted, so to get updates, sign up for our free e-mail newsletter.
