The Disneyland Resort postpones the reopening date of its theme parks. Disneyland and Disney California Adventure won’t reopen in July.
In shocking news this evening, the Disneyland Resort decided to pushback its opening date. Originally planned for a July 17 debut—the theme park’s 65th anniversary—Disneyland and Disney California Adventure won’t reopen until a later date.
In a statement given by Disney, the company claims that California wouldn’t set theme park guidelines until after July 4, less than 2 weeks before the reopening. Due to such close conditions, Disneyland has indefinitely pushed back the date of its parks reopening. However, two Disneyland unions also planned a protest this weekend to push back reopening dates. Before this could happen, Disneyland made the announcement.
