Mandalorian season 3 has already been ordered for Disney+! The streaming service has yet to air the series’ second season.
The popular show is the first-ever live-action Star Wars television series. After its launch in November 2019, Mando and Baby Yoda have become pop culture phenomenons. In fact, Baby Yoda (officially known as “The Child”) merchandise has flown off the shelves.
While details of the upcoming seasons are sparse, some beloved Star Wars characters may find their way onto the series. Since the Mandalorian takes place between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens, characters must be alive during that timeline (example: no Darth Vader). However, Ahsoka Tano who became a fan-favorite during the animated Clone Wars series, is rumored to be played by actress Rosario Dawson.
As Disney parks and films go on hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic, Disney+ is has reached more than 50 million subscribers. Today, it’s the biggest rival of Netflix, the most popular streaming service in the world.
