A review of the delicious Cheeseburger Steamed Pods – Bao Buns found at Satu’li Canteen in Pandora The World of Avatar (Disney’s Animal Kingdom).
The Satul’i Canteen is one of our favorite dining spots in all of Walt Disney World. With a stunning, immersive atmosphere and delicious food, there’s nothing else like it in the Resort. Our recent trip, we became pleasantly to see the Cheeseburger Steamed Pods back on the menu in the adult portion!
The Cheeseburger Steamed Pods are essentially bao buns filled with ground burger beef, ketchup, mustard, pickle, and cheddar cheese. Before this summer, the pods were only available on the kids menu.
The ingredients are mixed together, so you don’t get much of the texture, only the flavor. The texture of the bao is perfectly soft and makes a great substitute for bread. Each plate comes with two sides of veggie chips and veggie slaw. However, you can double up on chips if you don’t want the slaw, and vice versa. The chips are thick and plenty crunchy. The slaw is tangy with fruit-flavored popping pearls.

The Satul’i Canteen is located at the far side of Pandora. The dining spot looks like an overgrown mess hall with beautifully crafted archways and hand-crafted dishes.
