The Disneyland Resort plans to reopen its two theme parks including Disney California Adventure on July 17th, 2020 as part of a phased process.
Disneyland closed its theme parks and hotels back in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, pending local and state approval, the theme parks will reopen this summer. Guests, including annual passholders, will need a reservation to access the theme parks. Details for the reservation system are expected soon.
The Downtown Disney shopping district will reopen first on Thursday, July 9, 2020. We expect limited hours and extra safety precautions starting this date. On July 23, the Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel will be available for guest stays. The Disneyland Hotel reopens at a later date.
Like Walt Disney World, Disneyland will reopen with enhanced safety and sanitation measures to help guests feel safe. Furthermore, the parades and shows are temporarily suspended until future notice.
