The Walt Disney World Resort will end its outdoor mask mandate for visits beginning May 15, 2021.
Guests of the Walt Disney World Resort will now have the option to remove their masks when outside in the “common areas” of the resort. This includes open spaces within the theme parks. However, guests are required to wear face coverings when inside and within the attraction queues.
Disney posted, “face coverings are optional in outdoor common areas at Walt Disney World Resort, but are still required upon entering and throughout all attractions, theaters and transportation.” The new rule comes into effect for visits May 15 and beyond.
