Up until this year, the Alfresco Tasting Terrace in Pacific Wharf has been a relatively unknown dining spot. However, that changed once Disney converted it into an exclusive hangout for Disneyland Resort Passholders.

While anyone can enjoy Alfresco, it appears designed for adults. There are exclusive drinks with throwback names to now extinct or revamped attractions. For example, the “5…4…3…2…1” was the famous launch line from the California Screamin’ coaster (which is now the Incredicoaster). See the Alfresco Tasting Terrace menu for more:

Drinks and Food – Alfresco Tasting Terrace Review

At the moment there are 5 signature cocktails at Alfresco Tasting Terrace. Our favorites are 5…4…3…2…1… and The Stinger. We also loved the Charcuterie and Cheese Board and thought the three looked fantastic in a photo together.

Every bite of the cheeseboard was delicious and it came at a great price. It’s only $12 (which is inexpensive for Disney) and plenty enough to share. The menu above lists the ingredients for the cheese board.

The 5…4…3…2…1… contains spiced rum, blue curaçao, simple syrup, lime, and tropical juices. If you’ve ever had a lava flow, this tasted a lot like that. Something tropical and light that you’d enjoy at the beach – which makes sense because it’s named after an oceanside coaster.

The Stinger is made of pineapple-jalapeño tequila, orange liqueur and orange-habañero simple syrup. The drink is citrusy and bold with complex flavors. In a way, it tasted more like whisky than tequila – and we loved it!

Secret Menu Item

Guests can ask for the daily special, off-menu item. It’s usually an alcoholic beverage with a specific theme. So far, it’s consistently been The Nutmeg, a peach Bellini with nutmeg. The drink is named after a local Disneyland cat of the same name who sleeps near the terrace.

Tips Before You Go

Since Alfresco has a new menu just for APs, the wait can become quite long. We waited about 45 minutes for a table and the hostess couldn’t tell us how long our wait would be. The good news is that there’s a bar below the terrace that serves beer and wine while you wait. There’s only seating for a few dozen guests and larger parties get tables closer to the better views. However, you can see Cars Land and the Guardian of the Galaxy Tower from pretty much anywhere in the seating area.

To avoid the longer wait time, we advise getting to the bar when it opens at 11:30 (though this time may vary). We saw some people chance it and leave before returning 30 minutes later and asking their wait time.

The Disneyland Annual Passport also receives discounts on food here, but not the alcohol. Depending on your pass type, you can save 10 – 15% off of your bill. Also keep in mind that the restaurant doesn’t have much covering for a rare rainy day.
