The popular Mardi Gras celebration returns to Universal Studios Florida in 2020! From Diana Ross to DJ Marshmello, Universal has a rockin’ start to the year.
February and March are on of the best times to visit Universal Studios Florida! Although Fat Tuesday doesn’t start until February 25, Universal begins their celebrations weeks ahead.
From February 1 through April 2, 2020, guests visiting Universal Studios Florida will be treated to the tastes and sounds of New Orleans’ grand celebration. Food kiosks serve Big Easy favorites like hot beignets and po’boys. However, the kiosks are only found in the Production Central area of Universal Studios Florida.
Toothsome Chocolate Emporium also serves The French Quarter milkshake. It’s a complex dessert with king cake, cream cheese crema and a beignet topper!
If you’re feeling extra hungry, you can purchase a Mardi Gras Tasting Lanyard. Furthermore, the price varies with how many different bites you’d like try and it expires after April 2, 2020.

Universal’s Mardi Gras Parade
Time to grab those beads! Universal’s dancing characters and entertainers roll through the park on colorful parades. Catch free beads while listening to lively music. Also, we recommend standing on Hollywood Boulevard or Production Central for the best views and bead-catching opportunities.
2020’s parade theme is “Treasures of the Deep” which Universal says includes “Treasure Map, the Sunken City of Atlantis, Creatures of the Deep and a treasure-filled Shipwreck Island.”
Check the Universal Orlando daily schedule for parade times.
