Last night, we stopped by the new Asian Street Eats dining spot in Downtown Disney at the Disneyland Resort. We first reported its opening just after the New Year.
The small, almost food truck-like counter service window serves freshly made scallion pancake wraps, bowls, and pot stickers. You can order each of the entrees with chicken, beef short rib, or tofu. We loved the simplicity of the menu because it helped us oder just about everything! And we’ll say that every bite we tried was delicious!
What to Order
Asian Street Eats does bowls and potstickers well, but the scallion pancake wraps are the standout items. These Asian-inspired wraps have with your choice of chicken, tofu, or braised beef short rib. If you’re a meat eater, we highly recommend the Braise Beef Short Rid Scallion Pancake Wrap. Each wrap is stuffed with cabbage, caramelized onions, pickled carrots, cucumbers, cilantro, hoisin sauce and Sriracha aïoli. They aren’t super spicy, but the spice is very noticeable! The pancake was a little thicker than a tortilla, and very savory.
If you’re more in the mood for a mixed bowl, you won’t go wrong here. Mixed bowls are around $9 each and are filled with fire-roasted corn, cabbage, cucumbers, pickled carrots, and caramelized onions. You can also choose between mixed greens or royal purple rice. The mixed greens are plenty flavorful and worked well with the sriracha aïoli. We ordered the chicken bowl, but if you opt for the short rib, we’d recommend the spicy teriyaki instead.

Asian Street Eats is a new construction placed in front of the old Rainforest Cafe. While we originally thought that this placement as strange, it worked well with the Rainforest Cafe temple in the background and pond nestled in front. Most of the entrees are under $10 and are filling enough for one person. However, if you are extra hungry, you may want to try one of the chicken or vegetable pot stickers.

Seating
The dining spot also serves bottled and fountain sodas, Pocky for dessert, and everything comes nearly packaged in a to-go bag. There’s plenty of table seating just across the way near the old AMC Theatre.
