It’s estimated that over 9 million guests visits Universal Studios Hollywood each year. Since the opening of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in 2016, Universal Studios Hollywood has seen a boom in ticket sales. The parking increase could also mean millions of dollars more in annual revenue for the theme park. Guests visiting Universal CityWalk are also subject to these charges but can have their parking validated if seeing a movie or visiting select dining spots.
