A new virtual DuckTales scavenger hunt is coming to Epcot! Disney’s DuckTales World Showcase Adventure brings guests into the animated series with the Play Disney App. Characters from the newest iteration of the show including Huey, Dewey, Louie, Scrooge, Donald, and Launchpad are featured within the mobile game.
DuckTales World Showcase Adventure will replace the current Disney Phineas and Ferb: Agent P World Showcase Adventure which launched in 2012. The new version will have updated graphics and fresh storylines for families to follow. DuckTales will also focus around tweens who may have smartphones and are looking for something exciting to do around World Showcase—which is fairly adult-oriented at the moment.
With this DuckTales scavenger hunt, Disney’s pledge to make Epcot “more Disney, more family, more timeless and more relevant” for traveling guests. Seeing that Phineas and Ferb stopped releasing episodes in 2015, the new version of DuckTales—which relaunched in 2017—is a much more relevant update.
There is still no word from Disney about when this experience will launch.
