Later in 2020, Epcot is set to open Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. The same attraction opened in Disneyland Paris’ sister park, Walt Disney Studios, back in 2014. The trackless ride is incredible fun for the entire family and will add even more excitement to World Showcase. But when will Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure open in Epcot?
While Disney has confirmed a Summer 2020 opening season, they have not released a specific date for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure opening date. However, we believe that we’ve found some valuable clues on when this might be.
So far, Disney has opened many of its recent attractions alongside other popular events. Three new films will debut at Epcot on January 17, 2020—the first day of Epcot’s International Festival of the Arts. Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway will debut March 3, 2020—the opening day of Epcot’s International Flower and Garden Festival.
Using this pattern, we expect to see Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure open in August 2020 with Epcot’s International Food & Wine Festival. While we don’t have the specific dates for this, over the past several years, the festival has opened at the end of August. We’d guess that Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will open around August 28, 2020.
However, Disney also didn’t specify a “late summer” for the Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure opening date. So this could also mean that the attraction will open in June, which is standard for most Disney premiere rides. While that date might be close to the March 4 opening Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Disney will want to appease its summer crowds with something completely fresh.
As for now, construction continues for the attraction at the back of the France Pavilion. Since this is a near clone of the Paris version, we don’t expect many delays on the ride. However, anything can happen until then which is why Disney is likely shying away from an official release date.
