Do the Disneyland fireworks run every single night? We explain when you can see fireworks at the Happiest Place on Earth.
Since Disneyland’s reopening in April 2021, many big-event attractions including fireworks did not return. However, the July return of Mickey’s Mix Magic changed that! The nightly projection and special effects show also displayed amazing fireworks on a nightly basis.
However, as of August 31, 2021, Mickey’s Mix Magic will no longer show fireworks. Instead, just projections and laser effects will light up hot spots like Main Street, U.S.A. In addition, Mickey’s Mix Magic stops showing September 2, 2021.
Replacing Mickey’s Mix Magic will be the nightly show, Halloween Screams! This stunning projection show will run fireworks from Friday through Monday night. Halloween Screams will just show projections and other effects Tuesday through Thursday nights. Halloween Screams is expected to close on October 31, and we may see Mix Magic return for a bit.

Recap: If you want to see fireworks at Disneyland, go to the parks on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, or Monday nights. Weather can affect when fireworks display. If weather affects the fireworks, they are often pushed back until the next night, even if that’s a Tuesday. Disney California Adventure does not have a fireworks show.
We don’t expect nightly fireworks to return until the holiday season. After that, expect them back during other peak times like spring breaks in March or April and in summer.
