Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at the Magic Kingdom will be closing for refurbishment a brief time ahead of summer crowds.
Guests visiting the Walt Disney World Resort in June might miss out on a popular attraction. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad has a refurbishment planned for June 7 through June 12 at the Magic Kingdom. Guests can expect to hop back on the roller coaster beginning June 13.
Refurbishments are a standard procedure at the Disney theme parks. These are usually preplanned before large crowds enter the parks. With Florida’s social distancing updates loosening, Disney will soon be able to hold more guests in the queues.
