Disney has just increased the lightsaber build price at Savi’s Workshop for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at the Walt Disney World Resort.
Updated: April 21, 2021 to now reflect Disneyland’s price increase.
Future Jedis will have to pay a bit more to build a lightsaber on their visit to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Both Walt Disney World and Disneyland have increased the Savi’s Workshop experience by 10%. Now the price is $219.99 per lightsaber, up from $199.99. Disneyland reservations for Savi’s Workshop begin on April 22nd here and on the Disneyland app.

Overall, we’re a bit surprised that the lightsaber build cost didn’t increase sooner. It’s very possible that Disney planned to do this last year but waited due to park closures. At this point, we would pay up to $250 for a lightsaber but hope that Disney adds some more effects (like a force ghost) to this experience to make the higher price tag worth it. We love the lightsaber building experience at Savi’s Workshop. It’s one of the most magical experiences a Star Wars fan can have at the parks. The hilts are beautiful, sleek metal that are a bit cumbersome to carry around. We highly recommend scheduling an appointment before you go as spots may fill up.
