The iconic Disneyland Hotel may soon receive a 12-story fourth tower! There are currently three towers at the Disneyland Hotel: Fantasy, Adventure, and Frontier. There’s still no word what the theming of the fourth tower will be. We do know that Disney wants this for its Vacation Club.
The new tower would be constructed at in the open grass area between the Fantasy and Frontier Towers. While it won’t have a great view of the Downtown Disney District, the tower will likely provide home amenities like a kitchenette and larger sized rooms for traveling families. Even if you’re not a DVC member, you will likely have the option of booking one of these rooms through Disney.
At the moment, there are currently just 71 Disney Vacation Club rooms at the Grand Californian. The new tower would add 350 rooms to the Disneyland Resort! These rooms are also some of the most expensive in all of Anaheim. Hopefully, this addition will mean more affordably priced units for the future. However, the amenities of the Disneyland Hotel will likely keep costs high.
Disney has been avidly trying for another hotel to help with its growing guest demand. Last year, the City of Anaheim rejected the tax credit for Disney’s second proposal of a 4-star hotel built in front of the Disneyland Hotel. With Anaheim’s strict timeshare rules, Disney may also not win out on this one either. But, we hope that it will! According to the OC Register, Disney is betting on cooperation of the new Anaheim leadership. Still, there’s no telling what may happen.
If you had to theme the new Disneyland Hotel tower, what would you choose? Comment below!
