Disneyland announces a new Legacy Passholder program with benefits to celebrate guests with now-cancelled passports.
As we announced last week, Disneyland has officially ended its annual passport program. Since then, guests have had mixed reactions, with many worrying about their future in the beloved parks. Others, feel happy that this could decrease crowd size and demand once the parks reopen.
While we wait for Disneyland to announce its new membership-type program, the Resort has released promos for previous annual passholders. Disney is now calling all of these “Legacy Passholders” for those who had an annual pass beginning March 14th when the parks closed.
The first round of perks offers a limited-time 30% discount on select merchandise for all annual passholders. These are valid Monday – Thursday in the Downtown Disney District and Buena Vista Street. The details for this perk can be seen here.

It’s important to note that while Disneyland is giving its former APs deals, many of these will likely be to the benefit of the company. In other words, Disney wants to give their most loyal customers a reason to come back! It’s also entirely possible that some of these perks will include exclusive access to the new membership program when it’s announced. However, that’s just a speculation!
