A review of Chicken Guy one of the most buzzed about dining spots in Disney Springs, but does this quick-service restaurant live up to the hype?
The fried chicken craze has officially swept the United States! For the past year or so, Americans have buzzed about which chicken sandwich or tenders are worthy of a prize. Admittedly, we’ve been part of this craze, too. We love a great chicken sandwich and are happy that they’re everywhere now!
Since its opening in 2018, Chicken Guy! has been one of the most buzzed about dining spots in Disney Springs. After the initial buzz wore off, we stopped by to see if Chicken Guy! still lives up to the hype.
The quick-service dining spot is the creation of celebrity chef, Guy Fieri. The inside of the restaurant looks like a gentrified industrial building. Brick wall, loud lettering, and bright colors are everywhere. Naturally, there’s a picture of Guy Fieri on the wall, holding a chicken, and wearing a mask.
Guests at Chicken Guy! can order all things fried chicken, including sandwiches, salads, bowls, and tenders. However, the restaurant is better known for its sauces. In fact, Guy Fieri is pretty much all about sauce! With over 20 variations of dip-able sauces to try, there’s something for everyone. We recommend trying some of “Guy’s Favorites” like his signature donkey sauce (it’s pretty much a variation of mayonnaise). However, there are some typical and very spicy options, too.

Chicken Guy’s classic sandwich is The Sauce Boss, which are two chicken tenders (fried or grilled) with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle and your two sauces of your choice. If you don’t want the bun and the rest, you can also order Chicken Tenders, which come in a box of five or three.
While we enjoyed the even crispiness of the chicken, they lacked a bit in flavor. So, our advice: slather on the sauce. If anything, the chicken is just there to help you enjoy the variety of sauces to pick from.
However, there is one item that did not get a good grade. The Big Daddy Mac ‘N’ Cheese tasted incredibly bland. We recommend skipping this side altogether.
Another great thing about Chicken Guy! are the prices. Expect to pay under $10 for every item you order. Three Tenders are only $5.99 and a sandwich combo is $11.49, which comes with your choice of fountain soda.
