A review of the must-see Nomad Lounge lounge and bar found in Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park at Walt Disney World Resort.
Tucked away near Tiffins restaurant is a quaint spot just off the river. The Nomad Lounge is the perfect place for weary travelers. With plenty of adult beverages and snacks both familiar and exotic, it could be just what you need for a midday refresh.
The lounge has plenty of seating sprawled around a wide spot. Everything here looks hand carved and wonderfully Africa-inspired. Just beneath the molding near the ceiling are quotes to ponder about travel.
We grabbed a seat at the bar where we discovered charging ports for our phones (which was greatly appreciated). The bartender offered us a menu which had some Disney favorites as well as new items. Naturally, we picked some of the newer options. However, guests can order from a full bar as well. The dining menu is mostly small plates that often change in selection.
To drink, we tried the Annapurna Zing and the Snow Leopard Salvation. Annapurna is described as “Bombay Sapphire Gin, Passion Fruit Purée, Mint, Simple Syrup, and Lime Juice topped with Ginger Beer.” Really, it’s best for someone looking for a refreshing, lightly fruity drink. The drink also came with a glowing lotus flower decoration, which we got to keep!
The Snow Leopard Salvation was vodka, pear Liqueur, mint, and lime juice topped with ginger beer. If you haven’t already noticed, we’re huge fans of ginger beer! However, this one had much more a of light pear taste than the Annapurna cocktail.

For food, we ordered the Wagyu Beef Sliders. These were juicy pieces of beef between two toasted buns. The aioli and arugula really made the flavors pop! Though we loved these tender sliders, the yucca fries were the best part. They almost had a light sweet (almost cake-like) flavor to them. We’re recommend them on their own, too!
The sliders may change on the menu, including Impossible brand. Either way, if you’re getting the yucca fries, you won’t be disappointed!
Another great option are the poutines served at Nomad. If you’re not familiar with poutine, it’s typically French fries topped with cheese curds and gravy. However, the Nomad Lounge version usually has a beef and some added incredible flavors like radishes and chives.
Guests can also try the famous Tiffins Bread Service here. It’s served with dipping sauces including red pepper hummus, spiced coriander yogurt, and ginger-pear chutney.
Nomad Lounge cocktails range here from $12-16 each There are also a wide variety of beers and non-alcoholic beverages for kids and those who don’t drink. If you’re ordering a vodka-based beverage that’s not on the menu, we recommend asking for the Snow Leopard vodka brand. A portion of the proceeds go to helping wild snow leopard. Since conservation is the biggest theme at Animal Kingdom, it’s a great way to put magic back in the world. To get updates on the BEST Disney World food, sign up for our free e-mail newsletter!
