The Magic Kingdom and Epcot will soon see two of their e-ticket rides close for in early 2020!
Walt Disney World is readying to enter its full-holiday mode in just a few weeks, but what happens after the festivities may shock some travelers. Two popular theme park rides are scheduled for extended refurbishment at the start of 2020.
Splash Mountain at the Magic Kingdom and Test Track at Epcot are going down for nearly two months! It’s hard to fathom that these two e-ticket attractions would be off the table for such a long time. However, as Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary draws near (October 1, 2021), all needed improvements will likely take place before this time. Also, Splash Mountain and other water-based attractions typically go under refurbishment during the colder months.
Closure dates:
Splash Mountain: Jan 6, 2020 – Feb 27, 2020 (reopens Feb 28)
Test Track: Jan 13, 2020 – February 26, 2020 (reopens Feb 27)
