The Walt Disney World Swan Reserve hotel will be a third-party run property set to open near EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios in 2021.
Staying at Walt Disney World can be expensive, especially if you want a room near the theme parks. However, third-party run hotels like the Walt Disney World Dolphin and Swan can be booked with Marriott points! Furthermore, these hotels may run discounts that make them significantly less expensive than other EPCOT-area hotels. We’ve stayed here for around $200 a night and walked to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
Update (1/4/21): The Swan Reserve is now scheduled to open July 2021!
That’s why we’re excited for a third option with the Swan Reserve. This upcoming hotel is set to debut sometime in 2021. Boasting 14 stories with 349 rooms, it’ll be a great new addition near the Swan and Dolphin. Additionally, 149 of these rooms will be suites designed for families needing room for six to eight.
Pricing hasn’t been confirmed but we expect it to be comparable to the Swan and Dolphin. However, newer hotels often debut with steeper pricing if demand is high enough. Guests will also be able to take transport like ferries to the theme parks. We also expect complimentary parking at the theme parks for its guests.

The original name for this property was The Cove, which greatly compliments the Dolphin and Swan as a water-like backdrop. While details for the hotel name change haven’t been reveal, we can speculate. Given that “cove” sounds a lot like, “covid” we’re going to guess that the pandemic had a lot to do with it.
However, it is still surprising that construction appears to be sped up to complete this project. Perhaps Walt Disney World is expecting an influx of fresh visitors to the resort sometime next year. After all, they’ve delayed the reopening of hotels, including the iconic Disney’s Polynesian Village, until summer 2021.
