Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker heads to Disney+ on May 4, 2020! Now the streaming service will have all nine of the Skywalker Saga films on demand.
Episode IX of the Star Wars saga, The Rise of Skywalker opened in December 2019. Since then, the film has grossed over $1 billion globally.
It’s early debut on Disney+ is in part due to the COVID-19 pandemic, where the streaming service does its best to gain new subscribers. Its release day, May the 4th, is Star Wars Day, a worldwide for fans of the franchise.
Along with The Rise of Skywalker comes the conclusion of the popular animated series, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and the launch of a new docuseries, Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian. We also anticipate that Disney will use Star Wars Day for other major announcements.
